Nokia (NOK) appears to have finally turned a corner with the Lumia 920, a smartphone that is seemingly selling quite well after a string of early flops from the struggling smartphone maker. iPhone sales could miss expectations by over 5 million units next quarter

Apple’s (AAPL) doomsday forecast is about as likely as the December 21st Mayan apocalypse prediction, but yet another analyst has lowered his expectations for the company. Christopher Caso of Susquehanna Financial Group claims that Apple has cut its iPhone orders “across a wide range of suppliers” for the March quarter to between 35 million and 40 million. The company was previously expected to see orders of between 40 million and 45 million, according to Barron’s. In light of this new supply chain information, the analyst expects Apple to miss Wall Street’s expectations in either the December quarter or the March quarter, or perhaps in both. “We conclude that iPhone shipments are likely to miss consensus expectations for [the December quarter or the


iPhone 5S to reportedly launch in June with ‘super HD’ display, NFC and 6-8 color options

Apple’s (AAPL) next-generation iPhone 5S will reportedly launch this coming June with a number of enhancements including a new “super HD” display and camera, integrated NFC, a better battery and between six and eight different color options instead of just black and white. The report comes from Jefferies & Company analyst Peter Misek, who says Apple will break free from the annual release schedule it has used it launched the first iPhone in 2007. To qualify the analyst’s prediction, Business Insider notes that Misek also said that Apple’s HDTV was in full production and would launch by the end of 2012.
